You Have Three Seconds …. To Win or Lose When You’re Pitching

Attend How to Win: Crafting the Perfect Pitch, PRSA Boston’s September writing seminar, and we’ll teach you how to create an effective pitch that captures attention within three seconds, whether it’s by email, press release, via digital platforms, including Twitter, Facebook or Instagram post or even the old-fashioned way – by phone.

Our September 29 program, at ML Strategies in Boston, features two successful media pros who will show you what sort of writing works – and doesn’t work – in today’s world of short attention spans and instant deadlines.

This is a hands-on workshop, so please bring samples of your pitches. They can be:

  • Email pitches
  • Press releases
  • Phone pitches (it’s nice to have a rough sketch written out before you jump on the phone with a journalist)
  • Twitter posts
  • Facebook posts
  • Instagram posts
  • Blogs

About the presenters:

Shannon Dalton Giordano’s innovative digital marketing campaigns have helped a wide variety of businesses and entrepreneurs create a robust social media presence. She has more than 15 years of experience in product and online marketing. Prior to forming Serendipity Social Media, Shannon was director of product development for a suite of multi-million dollar products at Fidelity Investments.

 Tom Nutile is President of TN Communications Group, a boutique PR firm specializing in media relations, marketing, writing and editing. A former journalist, winner of three national Bulldog Awards for media relations, and a former VP of PR at Staples, Tom has more than 20 years of experience helping clients gain national and international exposure through print, broadcast and digital media placements.
