Annual Mtg: Awards, Meet BBJ's New Publisher, Editor Keynote... and 2016 Preview!

Congratulations Julie Dennehy, APR, our 2015 Diane Davis Beacon Award Recipient!

The Diane Davis Circle of Honor will expand with the induction of Julie Dennehy to this august group of past recipients. Julie needs no introduction to most. She has been a generous and industrious participant of innumerable association, civic and philanthropic efforts, donating her time and talents while managing her thriving MetroWest-based PR and social media consultancy, Dennehy PR (@dennehypr). You may have met Julie through The Ellie Fund, Make A Wish, The Fathering Project, Boston Women Communicators, Publicity Club of New England, the former Bay Colony Dog Show, King Richard’s Faire and even The Ad Club. The multi-award recipient guides future generations of public relations leaders through mentoring, internships, providing support for Accreditation (APR) candidates and award tutelage, and by engaging people in meaningful causes through which a difference in a larger society is achieved. Julie is currently immersed in two charitable programs as we recognize her for this work: Anton’s Cleaner’s ‘Coats for Kids‘ (@antons_cfk) and the Santa Foundation. She is an alumna with honors from the Newhouse School of Syracuse University and a past officer of the PRConsultants Group. She counts BU Professor (and past DDBA recipient) Steve Quigley, Joan Schneider and Nancy Moss among her earliest career influencers. This is an honor richly deserved. Brava and thank you, Julie!
