On March 25th, PRSABoston hosted a virtual open house, welcoming members and guests to learn more about the association’s vision and priorities for the upcoming year — straight from the horse’s mouth. As our chapter continues to celebrate its 75th anniversary, we’ll be focusing on innovation, inclusivity, and growth within the communications industry.
The event featured remarks from PRSA National CEO Matthew Marcial, CAE, APR; and District Leadership Chair Kandis R. Fuller, APR, MAOL. Both shared insights on the organization’s direction and industry trends. The identified priorities for the upcoming year include the 4Rs: Revenue, Retention, Recruitment, and Relevance. These terms aim to inspire all ongoing efforts to strengthen member engagement, particularly among first-year members.
Additional speakers — including Thomasena Shaw, Carly Mehl, and Josh Gitelson — shared updates on chapter communications, our exciting new young professional program, and the APR accreditation process.
The chapter also previewed the 2026 Northeast District Conference (PRXNE26), which PRSA Boston will host on September 24.
PRSA Boston thanks all who attended and looks forward to continued engagement throughout the year.
