This senior-level position is responsible for helping create and execute the strategic communications efforts of the Boston Public Library, and will independently lead the public relations efforts of that strategy.
Reporting to the Chief of Communications and Strategy, you will have the opportunity to be entrepreneurial in surfacing and telling stories in the media, while working in collaboration with a team of six other professionals, including the support of a media relations associate.
People love the library, but they don’t know everything we offer. To help us make more of a difference in people’s lives, we’re looking for someone super-organized with 3-5 years’ experience; a creative self-starter with strong writing chops; an easy-going colleague with intellectual curiosity; and is — this is not negotiable — a Boston resident.
