Lunch with the Boston Globe

Start the presses! PRSA Boston is heading to The Boston Globe on May 27.Boston Globe

Our hosts for the day will be Sacha Pfeiffer, a columnist and reporter covering nonprofits, philanthropy and wealth, and Andrew Caffrey, Acting Business Editor and Deputy Editor. Sacha and Andrew will take us inside the the Globe’s business and nonprofits beats and share insights on what they look for in a story. Lunch will be provided.

Some of the topics we expect to explore include:
– Sacha’s background in journalism — from print reporting, radio reporting and investigative work
– pitching the Globe — a look at what works and what doesn’t
– news gathering in the age of social media
– evolution of the reporter’s skill set — writing for multiple platforms, meeting multiple deadlines

Everyone who wants to attend must register. Parking is limited in front of the Globe building so look for the overflow parking in the giant lot beside the Globe (enter on Morrissey Boulevard, passing by a guard shack). There is a 25 person limit for the lunch, so register today.

This event is sponsored by PRSA Boston’s IPN
